PlayStation 4: The Top 8 Exclusives
It’s not news that PlayStation 4 is a generator of the best exclusive games of all times. Since its launch, Sony’s console has always been famous for making an impact in the gaming community, and even now it looks like they are very determined to stay in the top.
There are quite a lot of important titles to come out soon but right now, let’s take a step back and highlight some of the best games that PlayStation 4 has to offer. We realize that to compile a list that pleases everyone is almost impossible, but we’ll try to present the best of the best. Let’s get started.
1. Gravity Rush 2
Even though I still like original Gravity Rush, I find the second part more exciting. Because of the great choice of activities and newly introduced gravity superpowers of Kat, it’s always interesting to follow the comic book style story, which stays strong throughout. Besides, beautiful visuals and easy controls make Gravity Rush 2 a worthy fit for the franchise.
2. Ratchet & Clank
This third-person shooter is a great result of Insomniac’s remake of the original Ratchet & Clank release. Developers added a lot of new content without getting rid off the features, which made the first outing special. Insomniac Games don’t put out a lot for PS4, but we can attest that here we have the case when quality wins over quantity.
3. Until Dawn
If you’re up for an unpredictable horror experience, this game is for you because it will surprise you in many ways. The endings are always different based on the choices made by the characters, but the butterfly system allows tracking what decision affected the plot line. The snowy mountain setting is a part of great visuals and controlling characters trying to make sure that they stay alive is empowering experience in itself.
4. InFAMOUS Second Son
In 2009, Sucker Punch Productions managed to produce a hit for the PlayStation 3: the first InFAMOUS title. InFAMOUS Second Son became the third outing, and an introduction of a new protagonist together with a motion controller for graffiti made the game one of my favorites. Exploring Seattle and freeing districts from the D.U.P. is always an incredible experience in the world with great visuals and lighting. The narrative is also cool, and the sound that’s coming out of the controller makes the game worthy of attention.
5. God of War
I am a huge fan of God of War, and I like the array of emotions that I get when playing this game. The brutality and brief tenderness between son and father bring something special into the storyline. Kratos and Atreus’ quest creates a lot of drama, and, interestingly, they aren’t positioned as either definitely good or totally evil. The story unfolds in such a way that each time you re-examine where you’re going and question yourself whether the decision is right, which is the most suitable for such a situation. This action-adventure isn’t just one of the best PlayStation 4 games, but it’s one of the best games on any hardware.
6. Marvel’s Spider-Man
If to talk about superheroes, Spider-Man is by far my favorite one. I guess I find it easy to relate to him, so I truly enjoy this character. As for the game itself, being a web-slinger and fast movement through the city is exhilarating. Lessons taken from the Batman Arkham franchise did work well and as for me, swinging through the world is an exciting experience.
Those who really know what to expect from Soulsborne titles will understand why Bloodborne is included in our list. I would call my attitude to the game quite ambivalent since this is a difficult combat title, but it’s the one, which is very rewarding at the same time.
8. Detroit: Become Human
I like the Quantic Dream titles since times of my first experience with Indigo Prophecy. It was interesting to see evolving of their story over the years, and the huge amount of choices that are available in Detroit: Become Human allows gamers to witness many different endings. I would call this journey emotional because of strong characters which have their unique identity as well as purpose.
Enjoy Your PlayStation 4 Gaming Experience
I am sure that if you’re a true fan of PlayStation 4, only some of the above-listed games would be new for you. Yet, if you’re an avid gamer, you know them all, and I hope that I was able to provide a great reminder of truly cool games that can be enjoyed over and over again.
